Lahori biryani versus Chicken Tikka Masala.

Dearest friends

Yesterday we celebrated the Independence of Pakistan and today we are celebrating the independence of India.

Back to back celebrations after having been under the rule of the British Empire for almost 200 years, 2017 marks the 70th year of independence and partition for both nations.

These two great nations share some interesting similarities.

Cricket is not just a sport for the two countries, it is like a religion. Cricket matches are followed all around the planet and the number of viewers for the India vs Pakistan encounter at the World T20 in 2016 was estimated to be more than 83 million. Incredible….

Be it in streets of Lahore or the markets of New Delhi the colorful lives of the people are reflected in their clothes, houses and cuisines.

Food is an art. On the Pakistani side, we have the Lahori biryani and Barrah Kebab while the Indian cuisine offer Chicken Tikka Masala and Malai Kofta…. Nice Nice :)

Finally, no matter what side of the boundary one stands on, one can feel the deep faith in God.

Have a great day guys…..Peace and Love.

Mother...A living God

My dearest and adorable friends

Mother is someone who loves us so much and we still yearn for more love from her….

Mother is someone who makes us realize how good we are…that there is no one better than us…

Her happiness is in our laughter…and her caring is beyond expectations…

She is someone always in our heart…well cherished…A place no one can ever take…A place as special as God…and for whom you can willingly embrace death…

She is someone you miss so much when you are far…a grief that can’t be measured…a heart tearing pain for someone you love so so much.

And today is a special day in Kam City…May I wish my Mum a long life, a very sound health,  lots of happiness and may the blessings of Lord Shiva be always on her for her birthday.

On this special day may the world be full of Peace…Love and happiness.

You came empty handed, you will leave empty handed

My dearest and adorable friends

I was wondering what is the difference between a loser and a winner...

Some see obstacles as wall others see obstacles just as a hurdle that needs to be overcome.

Across the various battles, the Bhagavad Gita has always been my lighthouse to guide me through the storms of life…Enjoy the truth of life.

What did you lose that you cry about? What did you bring with you, which you think you have lost? What did you produce, which you think got destroyed? You did not bring anything –

Whatever you have, you received from here.

Whatever you have given, you have given only here.

Whatever you took, you took from God. Whatever you gave, you gave to him.

You came empty handed, you will leave empty handed. What is yours today, belonged to someone else yesterday, and will belong to someone else the day after tomorrow

Chill my friend.. life is a unique experience…Think God and go for it.

Your talent is God's gift to you.

My dearest and adorable friends

Today we will start the week with a very nice quote.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

Friends of Kam City I still don’t believe any human being is superior than the other…

From the lowest rank in the society to the very top level, everyone is special and unique in his or her own way.

Develop and make use of your talent…

Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.

Have a very nice day

It is 11:33 am in Mauritius...We are being blessed by the heavenly rains...

And in this cloudy Sunday...with a lovely sweet romantic music...

Let us appreciate the beauty of life...

And think of God and be grateful for all we have now by HIS blessing...

Patience

My dearest and adorable friends

Today we will share a post on Patience…A very nice one…

Patience does not mean to passively endure.

It means to be farsighted enough to trust the end result of a process.

What does patience mean? It means to look at the thorn and see the rose, to look at the night and see the dawn.

Impatience means to be so shortsighted as to not be able to see the outcome.

Those who believe in God never run out of patience, for they know that time is needed for the crescent moon to become full.

Have a great Friday.

The shrine of Pere Laval Mauritius

The shrine of Pere Laval Mauritius

Jacques Desire Laval (better known as Pere Laval) was a missionary who changed the life of many people in Mauritius.

He was a roman catholic of strong spiritual belief who grew up in France and graduated as a doctor.

Later on he felt God calling to him better than ever when he had a terrible accident.

He changed his life course and dedicated himself to the church from then on.

In 1841, he was sent to Mauritius by the church to act as missionary.

During that time period life was very rough on the island and he was the most welcome to boost up the spiritual life of the people, most of which were former slaves.

He worked for and helped the poor as much as he could; his medical knowledge was very useful to him then in doing all he could to treat people and help them to lead better lives.

It is believed that he may have saved more than 67, 000 souls during his stay on the island through his devotion to god and his willingness to help the poor.

Jacques Desire Laval died in 1864 which was a great loss to the Mauritian community.

He was buried in the graveyard at the old church of Sainte Croix with more than 30,000 people crying out the loss during the funeral procession.

In 1968, the church was consecrated with beautiful scenes from the bibles and tainted framed windows.

Today the remains of the priest rest in a massive modern stone vault and is object of great respect to the Mauritians all ethnicities combined.

Each year on September 9th (the anniversary of his death) people from across the island walk to the shrine to pay homage to a man who, when alive contributed so much to the life others.

In 1979, Pere Laval was beatified (literally converted into a saint) by the Pope John Paul п on his visit to the island.

He was the first one of more than 1,200 people that the pope beatified during his lifetime.

Today still people consider Pere Laval to be a saint and undertake the pilgrimage to his shrine each year knowing that he will be interceding in their prayers.
