Lahori biryani versus Chicken Tikka Masala.

Dearest friends

Yesterday we celebrated the Independence of Pakistan and today we are celebrating the independence of India.

Back to back celebrations after having been under the rule of the British Empire for almost 200 years, 2017 marks the 70th year of independence and partition for both nations.

These two great nations share some interesting similarities.

Cricket is not just a sport for the two countries, it is like a religion. Cricket matches are followed all around the planet and the number of viewers for the India vs Pakistan encounter at the World T20 in 2016 was estimated to be more than 83 million. Incredible….

Be it in streets of Lahore or the markets of New Delhi the colorful lives of the people are reflected in their clothes, houses and cuisines.

Food is an art. On the Pakistani side, we have the Lahori biryani and Barrah Kebab while the Indian cuisine offer Chicken Tikka Masala and Malai Kofta…. Nice Nice :)

Finally, no matter what side of the boundary one stands on, one can feel the deep faith in God.

Have a great day guys…..Peace and Love.

Kam
