Tiramisu: A "Pick-Me-Up"

Good Morning friends

Today we will share something sweet.

Tiramisu is an Italian dessert typically made from sponge finger biscuits, espresso, cheese, eggs, cream, sugar, Marsala wine, cocoa, and rum.

Its name literally means "pick-me-up" and is a reference to its two caffeine-containing ingredients, espresso and cocoa.

It is maybe the most popular dessert among Italian specialties and is usually in the first position in Top-5-italian desserts-list.

Tiramisu’s original recipe comes from the northern region of Veneto though other cities like Venice and Siena also claim its origin.

Irrespective from what region it comes from but do plan to have a Tiramisu on your next visit to the land of divine art and ancient culture.

‎Buona giornata
