Oktoberfest....It's all about the beer

Dearest friends

It was on Saturday the 17th of September @ noon that the Mayor of Munich had the honor of tapping the first keg of Oktoberfest beer.

Once the barrel was tapped, all visitors were then allowed to quench their thirst.

The first Oktoberfest was held on October 12, 1810, in honor of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese von Saxony-Hildburghausen.

Since that time it has become, above all else, a celebration of German beer.

Among the many attractions, the "liquid gold" is probably the most important thing at the Oktoberfest.

As usual, over 6 million liters of beer will be drunk this year before the end of the event on the 3rd of October.

Wishing you a great day.

Cheers

Kam
