Dearest friends
Today we are celebrating Keiro-no-Hi in Japan.
Keiro-no-Hi is a national holiday in the country of the
Rising Sun and is set aside as a day to honor and be grateful to our elders
At community centers, entertainments are held and the guests
are given small keepsakes and gifts of food—for example, rice cakes dyed red
and white, the traditional Japanese colors of happiness.
Directly or Indirectly our elders have always been the lighthouse
for our progress in life.
So let us also seize this opportunity to celebrate
Keiro-no-Hi by valuing the priceless work done by our elders.
Have a great Monday.
Kam
