You got it right…850,000 CAD will be the weekly salary for
Brazilian soccer star Neymar once he joins French team PSG.
Neymar has agreed a five-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain
and is due in Paris within the next two days to finalize the most expensive
transfer in world football history.
It is understood the total value of the deal is worth nearly
£450m (CAD750m), which includes wages, bonuses and a buyout clause of £198m
(CAD330m).
Neymar was twice named the South American Footballer of the
Year, in 2011 and 2012 with Brazilian team Santos, before moving to Europe to
join Barcelona.
As part of Barça's attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis
Suárez, he won the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the
UEFA Champions League in the 2014–15 season, followed the next year by the
domestic double.
He also came third for the FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2015.
