Diwali Abhinandan from Kam City

My dearest and adorable friends

Sunday will be Diwali…. :)

Diwali is the brightest of all Hindu festivals...also referred as the "festival of lights" is celebrated on second lunar day of the bright fortnight of the Hindu calendar month Kartik.

The name Diwali is a contraction of "Deepavali" (Sanskrit: दीपावली Dīpāvalī), which translates into "row of lamps".

Therefore, on this day, small clay lamps filled with oil are lighted to celebrate the triumph of Light over darkness or the win of the Good over the Evil.

With Diwali also comes new clothes and sharing of sweets with family members and friends.

Around the world, Diwali is also celebrated with the same enthusiasm and joy.

It is a way to strengthen our relationships…Even far from sight but still Diwali keeps us very close to the heart.

Last but not least…We can’t miss the cakes and more importantly Mr. THE 'Gato Patate'......Do enjoy them…I will miss them for sure. :(

Diwali Abhinandan to all of you…..From Kam City
