Christmas Lights Across Canada.

The 32nd edition of Christmas Lights Across Canada kicks off today.

Dazzling lights and celebrations await from coast to coast to coast.

In addition to the illumination of hundreds of thousands of multicolored lights along Confederation Boulevard, the annual ceremony will feature excerpts from the musical show Décembre, a pyrotechnics show as well as a projection of the winter lightscapes show

Come and have fun on Parliament Hill as from 7 p.m. today for the Christmas Lights across Canada Illumination Ceremony.

The evening’s festivities will also be broadcast live on Facebook for Canadians across the country who are unable to attend the illumination ceremony.

Happy International Volunteer Day.

Dear friends

Today the 5^th of December, we celebrate the International Volunteer Day.

Founded on the values of solidarity and mutual trust, volunteerism transcends all cultural, linguistic and geographic boundaries.

Volunteers give their time and skills without expectation of material reward.

In Ottawa, the Centre des bénévoles / Volunteer Centre does a great work to organize events like the Canada Day, Illumination Ceremony, Winterlude among other events with the help of thousands of volunteers.

Volunteerism does not mean that volunteers have nothing interesting to do, it is rather that these guys prioritize their precious time to serve the society.

To contribute selflessly to make a better world. Hats off to these volunteers who does a commendable job all around the world.
