German Apples Day

Dearest friends

German Apples Day is a campaign that annually falls on January the 11th.

It is a special program leading to popularization of local apple trees and encouraging people to eat more apples.

German Apples Day (or Tag des deutschen Apfels in German) was started in 2010 by the National Association of Fruit and Vegetables Producers as a part of a campaign “Germany – My Garden”.

During this event hundreds of thousands of apples are distributed across five major cities in Germany.

Apples are now the most commonly eaten fruit in Germany.

Maybe Germans have realised it...An apple everyday keeps the doctor away.

Stay healthy
